Regulations
Main Conditions
- Entries will not be specially acknowledged. The entry fee has to be paid in the Festival office. This must be done at least two hours before the tournament begins.
- GM, IM and players who already paid their entry fee must confirm their participation at the Festival office at least one hour before the beginning of the first round. If not, the player won't be paired.
- The tournaments will qualify for Swiss and FIDE ratings (where applicable).
- Players who provide false information on their entry form (especially concerning ratings) risk being excluded from the tournament.
- The FIDE Elo rating lists May, June and July 2013 as well as the Swiss Elo lists 2/2013 and 3/2013 are valid for the admission to the tournaments. For the categorize's prizes, the FIDE rating has priority.
- Prizes are valid for more than 100 participants per tournament (MTO, ATO, RAP, BTO).
- The special prizes (best ladies, seniors, juniors, child and best Swiss) in the tournaments MTO, ATO, RAP, BTO and Chess960 are only for players scoring 50% or more. The restriction is not valid for special Elo prizes.
- Players who arrive at the chessboard less than 30 minutes after the start of the session will not lose the game concerning art. 6.6 lit. a of the FIDE-Rules.
- No smoking in the tournament hall
- No mobile phones and computers in the tournament hall
Swiss Chess960 Championship

Swiss Rapid Chess Championship

9 round Swiss system.
Cadence: 7' + 7'' per move and per player.
Prizes: CHF 1'200, 800, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 150, 2x100, natural prizes for players with 5½ points and more, best lady, best senior (1953-), best junior (1995+): each CHF 200, best child (1997+), best player without title: each CHF 100, best Swiss (with Swiss-passport): CHF 400, 300, 200, 2x100, best players with Elo <2000 and <1800: CHF 300, 200, 100, 2x50. Total prize fund: CHF 7'650 + natural prizes.
Playing schedule:
1st - 3rd round: 9.30 a.m. - 12.15 p.m. ,
4th - 9th round: 1.30 - 6.45 p.m.
Prizegiving: 7.15 p.m.

Master Tournament
July 22nd - August 2nd 2013; 2-8 p.m. (August 2nd: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Rest day on July 28th.
11 round Swiss system.
Cadence: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move one.
Prizes: CHF 7'000, 5'000, 4'000, 3'000, 2'500, 2'000, 1'500, 1'200, 2x1'000, 3x700, 3x500, 4x300, 5x200, best ladies: CHF 600, 400, 300, best senior (1953-), best junior (1995+), best child (1997+), best player without title: each CHF 500, best players with Elo <2200 and <2100: CHF 500, 400, 300, 200, 100, best Swiss players (with CH-passport): CHF 1'000, 700, 500, 300, 200. Total prize fund: CHF 43'000.
Admission: players with FIDE-rating (list May, June or July 2013) or national rating (e.g. Swiss ELO list 2/2013 or 3/2013) ELO 2000 and more.
Entrants without international rating must show proof of playing strength. Applications must be received no later than May 31st 2013 (they should include all tournaments results from the past two years and should be signed by the club president).
Entries will be taken latest July 22nd 2013 until 12.00 at the reception.
Main Tournament
July 24th - August 2nd 2013; 2-8 p.m. (August 2nd: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Rest day on July 28th.
9 round Swiss system.
Cadence: 40/90 min, then 30 min + increment of 30 sec per move.
Prizes: CHF 1'200, 1'000, 800, 600, 500, 2x400, 3x300, 5x200, 5x100, best ladies, best seniors (1953-), best juniors (1995+): each CHF 200, 100, best children (1997+): CHF 150, 50, best players with Elo <1800 and <1700: CHF 400, 300, 200, 2x100. Total prize fund: CHF 10'600.
Admission: players with FIDE rating ELO 2050 and below (list May, June or July 2013) or players with national rating ELO 2050 and below (e.g. Swiss ELO list 2/2012 or 3/2012), independent of their FIDE rating.
Entrants without international or national rating must show proof of playing strength.
Foreign players without national rating are not qualified to get prizes.
In all special cases the tournament organiser will have the final decision.
Entries will be taken latest July 24th 2013 until 12.00 at the reception.
Swiss Blitz Chess Championship
July 28th 2013, 2 p.m.
13 round Swiss system.
Cadence: 3' + 2'' per move and per player.
Prizes: CHF 1’000, 750, 600, 500, 400, 300, 250, 200, 150, 100, 2x50, best lady, best senior (1953-), best junior (1995+): each CHF 100, best child (1997+): CHF 50, best Swiss (with Swiss passport): CHF 300, 200, 150, 100, 50. Total prize fund: CHF 5'500 + natural prizes.

1st - 5th round: 2 p.m. - 3.30 p.m.,
6th - 10th round: 3.45 p.m.-5.15 p.m.,
