Fischer Random Tournament (FTO)

Date / Time July 23 - 29, 2018; 9:00 a.m.
Mode of playing 7 rounds Swiss system.
Chess960: The starting position will be drawn before every round.
Time control 90 minutes for the game + 15 seconds delay for each move (Bronstein System).
Prizes CHF 1'000, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 2x100, 2x50. Total prize fund: CHF 3'300 + prize in kind for the best team offered by Auberson&Fils, La Neuveville.
Final standings will be established according to number of points scored, truncated Buchholz and truncated Sum of Buchholz. The worst score in each case will be disregarded. Prizes will be shared upon the final ranking (“Hort System” won’t be used).
Prizes are valid from 100 participants. With fewer participants, they are reduced pro rata.
Admission Open to every player, rated or unrated.
Inscription CHF 40 (1998+: CHF 25), by bank transfer until June 30, 2018, based on the invoice received by e-mail during the online registration. After this date: CHF 80 (1998+: CHF 50); bank transfer until July 18, 2018, or on site until July 22, 2018 7:00 p.m.
Registrations are confirmed after payment of entry fees. The player then appears
on the list of participants, published on our website.
Players who have paid their fees and are not on the list of participants are kindly requested to report to the tournament office no later than July 22, 2018 at 7 p.m.
Team At the time of registration, please indicate, if applicable, the name of the 3-player team in which you are participating. There is no increase in the registration fee to participate in this competition. The teams will be ranked by adding the points individually acquired by the team members.
Miscellaneous The pairings of the 1st round will be published at 8:30 a.m. The following rounds will be published on our website 1 hour after the end of the round.
A delay of 30 minutes is allowed at the start of the round. If a player is more than 30 minutes late, his game will be considered lost by forfeit.
At the end of the game, players are responsible for submitting their scoresheets and results by themselves; otherwise the game will be evaluated as 0-0.
The tournament won’t be rated.
Smoking strictly prohibited within the building.
It is forbidden to enter the playing hall with electronic devices.
In case of disagreement with an arbiter's decision, the player must contest orally without delay by the main arbiter. The decision of the main arbiter is then final.
